    That would force them to feature happy, healthy, stable, supportive characters, wouldn't it? Not sure that would ever happen. Even the most powerful abstract entities behave more like petulant children at Marvel.

    Yep, my inspiration. I was watching the last installment of Terminator movies as I typed up that scenario. Wolverine seemed liked the perfect person, given how much people love and trust him more than, say, Deathlok, or someone like that. Knowing the "Enemy Among Us" comes from the X-men just makes it all the sweeter. The world had a right to fear and hate them...but not because they were mutants. It's because they had Wolverine, world killer and walking extinction event.
