Default Female Villains of Marvel Appreciation 2021

This thread is dedicated to all the evil ladies of the Marvel Universe. This includes anyone from the biggest of bads, like Enchantress or Dark Phoenix, to the iconic baddies like Mystique or Lady Deathstrike, to the team-centric gals like Vertigo or Black Mamba, to the most obscure of obscure like Water Witch or Mysteria! Who are your favorite female villains? Who do you think should be pushed more both in the comics and in the movies/TV shows?

    This week in Female Villains:
    • Madame Masque and Black Mariah appear in Amazing Spider-Man #59
    • Typhoid Mary appears in Daredevil #27.
    • Saturnyne appears in Excalibur #18.
    • Figment (obscure She-Hulk villain) appears in King in Black: Thunderbolts #2.

I'm mainly an X-Men fan, so it's no wonder my favorite two are both X-Men related.

    1. Selene (horribly underused for her power level)
    2. Mystique
    3. Morgan Le Fey (like Selene, horribly underused for her power level)
    4. Lady Deathstrike
    5. Madam Masque
    6. Viper
    7. Typhoid Mary
    8. Spiral
    9. Madelyne Pryor
    10. Black Swan

Enchantress, Hela, Umar and Karnilla are honorable mentions. God there's so many good ones.

What issue did this picture come from?
Namor the Sub-Mariner, Marvel's oldest character, will have been published for 85 years in 2024. So where's my GOOD Namor anniversary ongoing, Marvel?

Several come to mind, like Karnilla, Goblin Queen, Calypso, Morgan le Fey, the original Lilith and Nyx. But there are a shortlist of other "bad girls" that have always appealed to me and I don't know why. Like Lorelei, Zaladane and this week's favorite -- Vertigo.

Powerhouse is also worth mentioning, although Larsen re-created the character in Savage Dragon when he left Marvel. She could use a new name perhaps and a wardrobe update, but I still think she has potential.

there should be an all female team of villains (actually several teams), but with a more sophisticated outlook than the typical portrayal of the early 70s, "feminist controversy" era.

Octavia Vermis is a lot of fun over in Spider-Woman.
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
