Default Create A Seven Soldier of Victores Team From The Ground Up!

Only one rule, you can't use the classic lineup of Green Arrow Speedy, Star Spangled Kid, Stripesy, Crimson Avenger, Wing, Vigilante, and Shining Knight, nor the lineup of Grant Morrison lineup of Zatanna, Manhattan Guardian, Bulleteer, Frankenstein, Klarion, and Mister Miracle.

Knight - I think having a character that is both a knight and Batman surrogate would be great.

Solomon Grundy - Is the heavy and the Frankenstein replacement.

Doctor Fate - Is the magic user of the team and I would love the New 52 version Khalid Nassour.

Detective Chimp - Because you need a brains of the outfit.

Hawkgirl - I think having someone who is constantly reincarnated would make a great connection to the overall mythos of the 7 Soldiers that Morrison set up.

Green Lantern - A time displaced Abin Sur is the intergalactic connection of the team.

Black Canary - The fighter and bruiser of the team.

I only read Morrison's 7 Soldiers so I kinda based it on his conception of the team i.e. a team that comes together beyond time and space even though the Sheeda are trying to stop them

    Good one!

    Here's mine:

Speedy: Mia Dearden, because I feel there should be at least one legacy from the original team.

Hawkgirl: A brand-new incarnation from a past era.

    John Constantine: The resident mage.

Power Girl: The classic Earth Two version.

    The Question: Renee Montoya

    Atom: Ryon Choi

Captain Cold: Cuz we need some villain representation!

Ohh having Captain Cold, is really good because you can imagine the Sheeda positioning him as a villain so he never joins the 7 Soldiers and always keep them separated.

Superboy(Kon)- He deserves better than Suicide Squad

Terra- Always thought she has a lot of storyline potential and possibly the start of a take redemption arc for her.

Lightning- Why she hasn't gotten a push yet or fleshed out, I don't know.

Zachary Zatara- Needs more love in general

Vibe- Opens the door for Multiversal shenanigans

Star Girl-Legacy of the original team

Cir El- A refuge from a future time or alternate reality, maybe her arrival kicks off the plot.

Why not a team of actual soldiers or military based characters?

Captain Atom: Field Leader, Heavy Hitter.

    Lady Blackhawk/Zinda Blake: Pilot.

    Green Lantern/John Stewart: Co-leader

    Batwoman/Kate Kane: Stealth Operative

    Skyrocket/Celia Forrestal: Tank + Pilot

    Nemesis/Tom Tressor: Secret Agent

Spy Smasher/Katarina Armstrong: Intelligence, Wild card

Director Bones: Overseer of daily operations.
Amanda Waller: Team creator. Finances and oversees the team from the background.

The Musketeer - I think it makes sense to go with at least one member of the Batmen of All Nations.

The Boss - He gets involved primarily due to his own selfish interests of course, but eventually becomes invaluable because of the intimidation and backup he provides for the team in moments of potential crisis.

Catgirl - The team's escape expert.

Orphan - The brain's of the outfit.

Skill - If she has her ability to see the future, but even without it she would prove to be a difficult member of the team to capture.

Sun Girl - the outer space connection.

Tomcat - the close combat expert.

Travis Morgan, The Warlord, gathers his Seven Soldiers.
    Black Lightning and Static
    Captain Atom and Bombshell
Cyclone and Red Tornado (he's her sidekick, ala Cyclone's BBF Stargirl and STRIPE)
El Diablo (the spooky western version as the cowboy stand in)

The name Seven Soliders of Victory is such a broad, slightly goofy name that kind of hearkens back to a more innocuous time, so I thought the team should have characters whose names invoke that same feeling (even if their personalities don't), versus trying to populate it with characters named Geo-Force or Wild Dog. With that in mind...

    1. Amazing-Man (Markus Clay)
    2. Phantom Lady (Stormy Knight)
    3. Plastic Man
    4. Mary Marvel
    5. Robotman (Cliff Steele)
    6. Starman (Mikaal Tomas)
    7. Mister Terrific (Michael Holt)

Substitute members would include Captain Triumph, Spy Smasher (Katarina Armstrong), and Mister America (Jeffrey Graves).

    Icon
    Rocket
    Starfire
    Martian Manhunter
    Superboy
    Zealot (Lady Zannah)
    Amethyst

Hawkgirl: A woman with magical connections and many past lives.
    Stargirl: Legacy character
Skyrocket: Patriotic armor person with connections to the US Military.
Golden Arrow: An archer who might or not be from the Wild West.
I, Spyder: A young archer seeking to distance himself from his family. Ally of Golden Arrow.
Blackhawk: Col. Andrew Lincoln was briefly the leader of the Blackhawk Squadron, but has since gone solo, eliminating threats around the globe.
Red Hood: Much like a guy from the old team, Jason Todd also dresses in red and has a craving for vengeance.
Pull List: Detective Comics, Batman, Flash, Justice League, Future State

The government wants the truth. I want the truth. And one way or another, we're all going to get it

Some versions of the team have had 8th members either officially or unofficially, so I think Robin would be a good 8th man here.

Wait, why would Black Canary be the bruiser? Isn't the bruiser usually someone that's super strong?
