Default Last Annihilation: Who will be the villain?

    Let's take a bet.
Who do you think will be the villain in Ewing's cosmic crossover Last Annihilation?
Bringing back the old, killing the young: that's the Marvel way

Voted for Genis just because I will take his return any way I can get it.

Voting for Genis just because I can see Ewing reintroducing him.

I'm betting on a new threat. Someone or something the heroes haven't faced before.

The only thing that has me betting against a new threat is that although both the Guardians and S.W.O.R.D are generally getting good reviews from both fans and critics both books don't have the best sales, I think they will want a threat whose name alone can create some buzz.

I see your point. But that can also work against sales. I mean I might be interesting in purchasing a series with a new all powerful baddie, as opposed to someone like Thanos, Dr. Doom, Mephisto, Apocalypse, Korvac, the Beyonders, Dark Celestials, Elder Gods, Proemial Gods, etc., etc., getting yet another crack at destroying the multiverse or twisting it to their own ends. And maybe it's not that these familiar villains are tired, it's that their character points and motivations have worn on me. I need some freshly baked evil.

Nrama: I can't let you end it like that. Before we go, what clues can you give us about what to look forward to in 'The Last Annihilation'?

Ewing: An enemy that's never been seen in this context before.
So that's not someone who was a galactical destroyer before, but it's also a pre-existing character.

    Further:

The things on hands may be Nega Bands since they left a pair on Ego. But spikes and a fold are potentially interesting?
We have Skrulls worshipping it, there is an association with ancient Skrull magic (worth remembering that Dire Wraiths were Skrulls transformed by ancient dark magic).
There is an association with fire, and with beyond.
And a potential association with Ego. Since it's someone from Beyond, it's highly likely that Ego became aware of them during his Eternity Watch stint in Ultimates^2, but it doesn't necessarily be someone who visibly appears there.

Let's analyse who appears here in light of those:
Genis Vell - I could see it.
Korvac - Doesn't need to be summoned.
Moridun of the Fifth Cosmos - Possible, but I kinda doubt he would use him here. On the other hand maybe in some combo, he would probably need to possess someone after all.
The One Below All - Doesn't seem to have right associations, we saw him as a universe destroyer
Pymtron - Doesn't fit with anything
The Stranger - No right associations, wouldn't need to be summoned.
Surtur - Association with fire seems like a promising avenue, silhouette doesn't fit. We saw him destroying planets, but nothing on the scale.
A Watcher - Possible co-planning with Slott? Some rogue Watcher could be possible, but I kinda doubt it.

Going by this quote it seems to be a known character.

Kang the Conqueror is another possibility, going from conquering the world to conquering the galaxy

He kinda has a loose association, being Ego's creator.

    It's probably just the In-Betweener.

My first guess was Annihilus, but that doesn't fit the clues.

Genis Vell, having become entangled with all of space and time after being parceled out across it, and then yanked back together by this summoning, endangering all of space and time via this process, is a neat concept. He'd be fighting to survive, not wanting to be ripped apart again to save the universe, but as long as he remains pulled together, he's exerting a kind of pull that threatens to collapse the universe basically into a new big crunch. He wants to find a way to escape this fate, but the longer he remains, the more damage he does...

And his (half) siblings Phyla and Dorrek/Teddy are on the team fighting him! Drama!
