Is the one with metallic arms Slingshot (Yo Yo Rodriguez)?
I think it's Karima Shapandar aka Omega Sentinel from the X-men.

Karima who is apparently an anti-mutant villain now, unless she is a double agent.
Bringing back the old, killing the young: that's the Marvel way
Has Raz Malhotra been used much recently?
Woah! Raz has since become quite the dreamboat figure, as can be seen in his portrayal on this cover, hasn't he? (I remember his debut issue, back when he didn't have the sleekly muscled physique he would later come to have after the point where he donned the Giant Man costume and identity.)
The City of Pan, yes.
From an unlettered preview that's been out since last month. (Not sure if this was posted in this forum or not, but from the looks of the lack of activity in this thread, probably not.) https://www.marvel.com/articles/comi...-preview-pages
And now the last 4 of the 5 Variant Covers.
Hi all. Just wanted to check if anyone else read the issue? Overall, the issue was done well. All of the stories focused on particular characters who each had their own challenges and confrontations. The story that definitely stood out for me was Jubilee's. I always saw her as being the early 90s mall kid. But I definitely paused for a few moments as she was giving offerings at her parents' graves. Seeing her as a kid and seeing her literally come together as a character, that was cool. That aspect of Jubilee, her Chinese heritage, her parents coming from Hong Kong, I never knew that. While it's good that she hasn't worn her Asian identity on her sleeve, that her character isn't just her race or ethnicity, it doesn't hurt to see those aspects acknowledged.
Also, wow, she's going out with Jono now? Nice.
Still haven't read the interviews yet. Will do so soon. But yes, this issue was good.
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
I don't think the 90s mall rat thing works anymore (and no mall rat wore a raincoat all the time).
Tbh, for a while I didn't even know she was of Chinese descent. Maybe that's on me, but Marvel never seemed to indicate much of that about her, at least that I could tell. It is good she's not a stereotype, but it seems a lot of writers struggle between whitewashing non-White characters and making them total stereotypes
