Default Anybody remember this episode of Mr Rogers?

Remember seeing this as a kid in the 80s and it's kind of obvious that there's some obvious (unauthorized?) R2 influence here but I've never really seen any major nostalgia about it from Star Wars fans (Maybe because it was kind of overshadowed by somewhat more 'official' SW appearances on Sesame Street and the Muppet Show).

On a side note, MRN was Ming-Na's first acting job on screen.

There's definitely a star wars influence there but that's down to the actual robot designers and not the Mr. Rogers staff themselves.

And just about all their designs tended to look a lot like R2
