This makes me wonder how people responded to No Man's Land and RIP back in the day.

The thing is the whole "Gotham is on fire and every villain is out for Batman's blood" was still fairly new in those stories...it wasn't something that happened atleast twice a year like it is now.

I think they actually brought this up in the Alfred RIP issue when Babs is ripping into Bruce (thank goodness we get less of that these days), but it hasn't really gotten any better.

It's only worse since then, Alfred dying in itself was a bad event gimmick and that it hasn't been undone yet is criminal. The Batbooks need strong editors very, very badly.

Ok so considering all of those tie in books posted in those solicitations can anyone post a complete list of everything since infinite frontier 0 that one must read to follow everything in Gotham that has gone one since the arkham riot. basically a list of every book in Gotham that is following and interacting with tynions run.. That would be a great help..

Batman covers the main plot, while Detective takes a look at Bruce's life now that he's not as rich, with appearances from Huntress, Nakano, and crew. Catwoman is tracking down Ivy who went missing and found her. Harley's on a redemption quest and looking for Ivy too, in Batman she's connecting with The Gardener. Luke and Jace are in Second Son dealing with their family issues. Their parents (or just their mother?) have been invited by Nakano in... I forget Batman, Detective, or Second Son. Babs, Steph, and Cass are in Batman as support and hanging out in Urban Legends.

Duke, Helena, and Kate are in Batman Secret Files, Tim and Jason are in Urban Legends dealing with their personal problems, Gordon is chasing after Joker, and Nightwing's setting up in Bludhaven.

I just realized that since Harley has her own series, Tynion includes Harley in Batman only to introduce Gardener.
