DC really should give her a 6-12 issue mini because I'm sure it could be successful enough to warrant an ongoing.

Given the right push Artemis could become more popular than Diana.

Perhaps, or at least a close second a la Harley Quinn or Red Hood Jason Tood (although he is cooling off now) to Batman. Sadly, Artemis remains inexplicably underutilized within the Wonder Mythos. She is a far more unique character than Donna or Cassie who typically come across as nothing more than Wonder Woman juniors in various adaptations rather than their own thing. A gritty badass anti-hero ginger Wonder Woman analog what's not to love?

Artemis does have alot going for her.
The best known member of a woefully underdeveloped tribe of middle eastern Amazons who live in a desert city.
Has a battleaxe made out of her own soul.
Is supposed to be the greatest archer of the Amazons.
Has an arsenal of delightfully absurd proportions.
Is considered such a skilled fighter that being trained by Artemis immediately establishes a character as a badass.
Is supposed to be the Amazons champion of magic?
Has an entire history that is an undeveloped canvas to be explored.

Quite alot to work with for her.

Yeah, being the most distinct personality and appearance wise from Diana definitely sets her apart from Donna and Cassie.

She's the Faith to WWs Buffy.

Characters who don't have to be held to the high standard of perfection usually become breakouts.

Indeed, I'm sometimes perplexed by why Comic Book companies push certain characters so hard while leaving other often more interesting characters to wallow in obscurity. I know he is pretty much universally hated around these parts, but I once asked my Uncle Dan DiDio the question. He answered that editorial boards will decide to push a secondary character or not when presented with a new idea by a writer, however, if they feel a given character "isn't important at all" they let the writer "play around" with said character while only exercising limited control to see if anything resonates because they do not care if the character is "damaged".
