Wonder Woman in animation general discussion

I apologize if this was posted here already but two years ago, Watchtower Database and Casually Comics did a video where they discussed ideas for a possible Wonder Woman DCAU animated series. Go to the 21:33 minute mark directly for that discussion.

I remember discussing this here; although, I can't remember when or what thread. I thought a lot of the ideas were splendid. I know a lot of people hate Maxwell Lord here, but I like how they incorporate Lord, Sacrifice, and Amazons Attack. I like that it's a set-up, so we still can get the fallout without having Wonder Woman kill.

I would like Villainy Inc. to be a larger part of the show, and I would prefer Barbara Minerva to Cheetah the villain to Cheetah the reluctant ally. I think Cheetah works best as part of Wonder Woman's supporting cast and is not good as a long-term villain.

But do those sales include the 2017 release of the first Wonder Woman animation film: Wonder Woman: Commemorative Edition? I would imagine that helped boost the sales significantly. Especially since the timing of WW: Bloodlines was initially supposed to be around the release of WW 1984 before the delay and the pandemic occurred. That seems to indicate the Commemorative Edition sold well.

Note: this is not me saying it originally did not sell well. It did. I'm asking do we know how much the Commemorative Edition boosted its sales.

Good question. According to the-numbers.com, the movie got a sudden boost in sales in the week of May 21, 2017. That predates the live-action movie release, but I think it was a re-release to help drum up some hype for the live-action movie. Either way, with or without the re-release, the DVD sold well. They had already sold about 600,000 DVD units and earned $8 million in revenue prior to May 21, 2017.

A lot of time spent on cameos that didn't really impact the plot, wasting/underutilizing certain characters, an underwhelming depiction of the Anti-Monitor, underwhelming big battles, etc.
