IIRC, Justice Society: WWII was created from the leftovers of a failed Wonder Woman animated series pitch, that would have chronicled her journey throughout the 20 and 21st century.

What we got was a flightless Wonder Woman who couldn't take on Aquaman on land without help.

I’m going in expecting nothing but if they even made a short animation tribute to her 80 years I would be blown away.

I would love that but the only cartoon confirmed to be getting shown off so far is, surprise, surprise Batman: The Caped Crusader and Injustice. Not even My Adventures With Superman is confirmed to be there, although I would be surprised if it isn’t. We’ll hopefully get the next years slate of animated movies beyond just Catwoman though.

She couldn't fly. But Golden Age WW had amazin feats of strength. So the way i see it, her being unable to match Aquaman in that movie is disrespectful.

I don't know what Aquaman was about in the 40s 50s golden age, but he certainly got the upgrade to whatever his levels are today.

Sadly that was not the case for Wonder Woman! They even made her insipidly stupid by not using the lasso. Good job DCAU!!!

She shouldn't, but she should have been several magnitudes stronger, if they would truly try to honor that time. This is how a Golden Age reference in a recent comic anthology looks like after all:

Laughing my ass off here, sorry guys, but this is too perfect a cover not to post considering one of my biggest complaints about DCAU WW is that her entire character revolves around getting shipped with Batman. It’s totally a fakeout but it amuses me, this is the kind of stuff they do with her because they don’t know what else to do.

It's like DC is trying to one-up itself with what terrible creative decisions they can inflict upon their characters.
