Wonder Woman in animation general discussion

So Diana/Themiscryia actually has a good minute in the new Space Jam movie. Also no accent in this movie.

Interesting (especially since they made her eyes brown, which I totally imagined was a nod to Gal Gadot). In any case, in my head I will always hear Gal Gadot's voice and accent whenever I read a Wonder Woman book. It just makes more sense (in my opinion) for a woman who was not raised in the US NOT to have a so-called American accent.

ETA: I just saw the Themyscira sequence in Space Jam 2. It is a lovely scene full of action, heart, and fun. It definitely integrates the WW movie aesthetic; it even features the "Is She With You" music and it has a moment reminiscent of No Man's Land. What I love the most is a line that Diana utters (I won't spoil it here) that is very much Diana. And guess what? The sequence actually made me cry. LOL Seriously. I literally felt like I was watching the Wonder Woman solo animated show that I have always wanted.

Nope. She was replaced by Zendaya. She did voice Lola for the animated series.

Who would have thought Kristen Wiig and Zendaya would have semi-similar sounding voices.

Kristen's Wiig's Lola was...so many different kinds of insane I don't think there's a word for it.

Pretty much. Except for some slight color differences (tiara, bracelets) and the knee pads,, it's the Gal Gadot/Patty Jenkins film costume.

What's so bad about the animated costume?

Because it's not as detailed as the movie costume...?

The changes they made to it; gauntlets aren't silver and weirdly have a red on it, no gold knee guards, and battle skirt is too long on the sides. At least that's what I think.
