The original Ocean's 11 (1960) with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sam Davies jnr.

It is the definition of that you call a cool movie. It is one of the few films I know, that many have said was not great but cool.

Rat Pack Ocean's Eleven came to my mind first too.

Just about anything with Bogart, Cary Grant or a Henry Mancini score.

West Side Story. Blade Runner. All the Mad Max movies. Rebel Without a Cause. The Big Lebowski. The Blues Brothers and the other black-suits-and-sunglasses movie, Men in Black. Fight Club. The Godfather I and II. In the Heat of the Night. Most Tarantino movies. The Matrix. The Princess Bride. This is Spinal Tap, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

    Cool As Ice
The Gypsies had no home. The Doors had no bass.

Does our reality determine our fiction or does our fiction determine our reality?

Whenever the question comes up about who some mysterious person is or who is behind something the answer will always be Frank Stallone.

Rebel Without A Cause is probably the quintessential definition of a cool movie.

Pulp Fiction. Even the soundtrack was cool.

For me, Grosse Pointe Blank is the epitome of a cool movie. Sardonic comedy, fantastic '80s soundtrack and a brutal hand-to-hand combat scene. What more can you ask for?

Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Back to the Future, Terminator, Predator, Aliens - classic 70s/80s movies that people still quote on the regular even now. Even some 90s movies like Robocop and Jurassic Park get this feel.

Then you got your cool stylish trenchcoat with black glasses genre like Blade, The Matrix, Underworld...

If I am just going with Blockbusters billion dollars films. I will pick Jurassic Park 1993.

Not only was it a cool movie, the themes were also highly intellectual. Which is a rare for blockbuster movies.
