Is X-Men Legends part of/consistent with continuity?

I know these stories are set in between events of the past and, in some cases, were planned as future stories. So what's their status? Can the Adam X story still work with continuity? Is the X-Factor story actually something that's part of past events? What do you think?

yes they are. and so far yes they do. The thing about comics is there is no way you ever saw everyone's vantage point so anything could have happened between the pages to be honest.

I think it's been solicited through issue six and hasn't been solicited as a mini. I suspect if they feel they can justify it sales-wise and can line up enough classic writers, they'll keep going.

I was thinking recently that I would love it if they could get Chris Claremont to tackle the gap with Rachel Summers between when she entered the body shop and when she reappeared in Excalibur.

There's a lot I'd love to see with Claremont. He's teased a story set after Mastermind has Logan and Mariko break up. But on his AMA, he pretty much expressed wanting to do this. So I could see them letting him do it here.
