Congratulations to Stony!
And thanks to Riv86672 for the one vote!
Congratulations, Stony! And thank you, worstblogever, for the vote and Iron Maiden for the mention!
The contest was very competitive…
“Strength is the lot of but a few privileged men; but austere perseverance, harsh and continuous, may be employed by the smallest of us and rarely fails of its purpose, for its silent power grows irresistibly greater with time.” Goethe
Great going Stony!
And thank you Chad and Rob for the votes.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
Thanks to everyone for bringing the big laughs thie week, and congratulations to Stony for posting the winner! If I may be permitted to display my ignorance - what was the origin of that Rosa cover? Was it a commission, or what?
Congrats to Stony, and thanks to icctrombone for the vote and babyblob & kjn for the mentions. I'm just glad the cover I found spurred this fun-themed contest.

Congratulations to Stony for a marvelous cover which showed the darker side of family. Brilliantly done.
And now for what the captain has learned in the "Peak of the Week": It is truly amazing how creative comic book fans can be. It's a natural development, but still there is a plethora (love that word) of art out there that has been inspired by our love of the funny book. At this point, I will go into self-promotion and recommend the fan fic groups in the Marvel and DC boards. Every month, a few posters solicit fake issues and some of them are quite entertaining. As an "after the vote" post, I will show you two fake covers I did and hope you will like them. But please check out the threads, pinned at the top of the forums. They are fun.

And thanks to Ravin' Ray for the much appreciated vote.
I’ll don the mask and wear the cape
If I am super, how can I wait?
Halfway to victory is a good thing.
Thanks for the votes CaptainEurope and Englehart Humperdinck
And congratulations, Stony.

Congratulations to Stony!
that cover was not only a cool fake but a worthy tribute to Big John Buscema's iconic Avengers cover
Great job Stony. I love those Love the one where Scrooge is fighting the Beagle Boys! Epic! You said he does these for sale. Does he have a site where he sells them? I would love to get a couple for my dad. (Or none if they are pricey)

Oh wow! I love those Duck parody covers! I think my favorite of the lot is the one where Gladstone Gander's luck finally ran out!
Yay, Stony!

Well done Stony and thanks Iron Maiden!
I was also considering Allred's Princess Diana covers for X-Statix which were modified after the Royal Family objected. They have no trade dress though.
