NOTE: Jade has had a couple of appeciation threads in the past.
    First appearance: All-Star Squadron #25 (September 1983)

From Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe Vol. XI (January 1986):

And it looks like she'll be included in an upcoming Justice Society story.

Same. I'm glad to see she's back --- should never have been relegated to limbo.

What is this JSA past is prologue from? I really love Johns version of tbe JSA more than any other iteration, even Roy Thonas'.

It’s the last pages of the Stargirl spring break one-shot

And beyond that, we have no idea yet as to if / what/ when it may eventually amount to anything more.

I love production quality of this show.

I don't know if it's the acting or lines they have been given but it always feels off.

Also, how much is this show reaching out to a broader audience? It feels like the show is only appealing to people who are already familiar with the characters.

So the second live action Green Lantern is Jade? Funny.

(unless you count the snydercut cameo of a random alien)

Thanks, and I wish her luck in the upcoming season and as portraying Jade daughter of Alan Scott. Although I will admit it doesn’t quite look like her comic based powers as I think she’s using Alan’s ring.

The show definitely is aimed at the built in audience. I feel like they are trying to reach out to newbies but there's a lot here. The very concept of the JSA is a little hard to get your head around. But with shows like The Boys it seems like the idea of random super-teams are becoming more common.

I actually think the show is really accessible even if you are not a fan of the comics.
The premise is pretty straighforward and they managed to avoid some of the more convoluted elements surrounding the JSA (like their WWII origin) and introduce them as legendary and important team even without those elements.
I do agree sometimes the dialogue/acting feels a little off, but it's still leagues better than other CW shows. Alongside Doom Patrol and Watchmen, it's one of the few DC shows I actually enjoyed.
All the other shows I wish got better creative teams behind them, because they usually mess up some awesome IPs.
As for Jade, I'm excited for her first apperance. I hope she eventually evolves beyond needing to use the lantern, so she can be a little closer to her comics counterpart, but I can see why they seem to have changed how she got her powers.
Every kid on the show is powered by an artifact inherited from the original JSA (Starman's staff, Wildcat's costume, Dr Mid-Nite's glasses and so on). So Jade is probably just following the theme.
