I always liked her for Namor's queen that never was. I really hate that she was killed off.

Then there was warrior Queen Dorma from the Heroes Reborn world. But I think she's dead too

Sadly, yes, killed (along with all of HR Atlantis) by an AU Proteus in the pages of Exiles. Until someone chooses to bring her back.

A guy who fought both Batman and Superman. I guess he was moving in some high powered circles.

Ah, those scamps Tony and Doug. Plus, Lee Meriweather's on the cover.

I’ll don the mask and wear the cape

    J. Buscema sure drew some beautiful people, didn't he???

I have a copy of #37, the issue in which she was killed off; that last page still brings a tear to my eye.

I'd say bringing back a rampaging triceratops to the present qualifies as rather a bigger goof than just stepping on a butterfly.

I used to have it but since I don't have a lot of storage space where I live, my younger brother keeps all the comics my Dad bought us when we were kids. I'll have to find that issue on Marvel Unlimited.

I think Buscema and Gene Colan were the best at drawing the female Marvel characters. And Jazzy John Romita too!

    Indeed. Truly heartbreaking (IMHO):

So dumb to kill her off! My introduction to her was in "Origins of Marvel Comics" with the reprint of Hulk #118, where Dorma finds Bruce Banner helpless in the sea:

The art here was by Herb Trimpe, possibly my favorite Hulk artist. Look at the artistic composition of those panels, its such great storytelling. Buscema's Dorma was superior but this has always been among my favorite Dorma stories.

Can't go wrong with an L.B. Cole cover - Target Comics #104 (aka volume 10 #2). The map of Africa is mostly accurate for the time this comic was published, with some glaring exceptions.

Trimpe had a nice long run at Marvel but I really think he made a wrong turn when in the 1990s his work started to emulate Rob Liefeld!

When he lost his regular work at Marvel during the bankruptcy in the 1990s, he went back to school and got a master's degree in the Arts and taught in the public school system. I saw on another thread on the Marvel Comics board that Trimpe was also ordained deacon in the Episcopal Church and served as a chaplain for a month at the WTC site after 9/11.
