Though that is a little anti-climatic. How about "I know you're not Charles Xavier. Enjoy your party."

I think Charles didn´t erase his memory from his mental attack he said it was part of his punishment or something like that so yes both of them remember everything so Charles was just being sarcastic when he said he didn´t expect Reed to come so it doesn´t surprise me Reed said something to him that he didn´t want Val or Franklin to hear
