Scott, Magik and Bishop are all captains, so I took it to signify that Krakoa will be at war.

You've got the whole QC/ex-QC and The Five, so basically all the leaders with Doug and Krakoa, too.

Logan, Alex, Lorna, Warlock, and Remy are the only non-leaders I see, but they represent the main series - X-Force, Hellions, X-Men, New Mutants, and Excalibur.

Seeing Magneto being testified certainly raises suspicion about status quo of the nation.

This is just a paradigm shift. It happened all the time during the Decimation/Utopia era. Krakoa ain't going nowhere anytime soon.

Events and Crossovers are more or less the same picture. Its just differently distributed.

I wonder if the x-men on the ground are a group that is going to lose faith in the new mutant nation and strike off on their own. It would jive with those characters personalities.

I wouldn't read too much into the details in the image. Mark Brooks always draws these promos and they never have anything to do with the actual story. Always nice to just appreciate the art and his take on some characters, but that's pretty much all I take from it.

Ouch. As exciting as this looks, it very much sounds like the swansong of Hickman's tenure as a writer. Not necessarily the end of the Krakoa era mind you, just the end of Hickman's involvement with the X-books... which I'm not really ready for :/
