MARY JANE, JEAN GREY, DAREDEVIL, BLACK WIDOW all have an ongoing books that keep them going. Even most the X-women are redheads (RACHEL, HOPE, FIRESTAR, WOLFBANE). Beside,redhead/gingers most of them don't treat them very harsely compare to DC COMICS where they treat WALLY WEST into a villain/ get killed, GUY GARDNER a jerk and BARBARA GORDON into an ass.

I have noticed that. I think it's probably pure coincidence, but...
Wally West - Becomes a murderer at one point
Roy Harper - Gets killed off at one point
Vic Sage - Gets killed off at one point
Garth Ranzz - Gets rebooted with a racial bend or as a kid
Barbara Gordon - Gets shot and paralyzed
Kind of weird.

Mary-Jane had her relationship with Peter erased and Marvel tried to kill her off in the 90s.
Jean Grey was killed off twice.
The amount of misery writers frequently pile on Daredevil is practically a running gag.
And DC recently brought back Roy Harper and are trying to undo the damage they did to Wally. Barbara is also consistently used and was never killed off.
