In america or china?
For example poc in china who are the majority group are not marginalized,but poc in america?
That's a different story.
There are Whites who are a minority in other countries and will say they feel and are marginalized as well and there are poc in countries who are not marginalized.

If Filipino people find it offensive, I don't think that should be ignored. In that Marvel should've made a bit more effort to be aware of these things.
I'm Filipino and speaking just for myself I don't find it offensive.
We can't lump together and Filipino and Filipino-American reactions though. The latter identify with their Filipino heritage in varying degrees, in part due to which generation of American citizenship they are. On the side I could ask my cousins there what they think of Ari.

Hmm...Let's get the manga perspective on this.
((Manga diving into a giant pile of cash))
Manga: Wheeee!
Me: Hey Manga, do you feel you are doing enough to.....

Crowd:: Manga! Manga! Manga!
You know what guys, I don't think now is a good time.
"The Marvel EIC Chair has a certain curse that goes along with it: it tends to drive people insane, and ultimately, out of the business altogether. It is the notorious last stop for many staffers, as once you've sat in The Big Chair, your pariah status is usually locked in." Christopher Priest
In fairness to Marvel, it's not always that cut and dry. Even within a cultural group there can be disagreements as to what is and what is not objectionable content and characterization.
In the past Marvel avoided conflicts by making POC characters as basic and generic as possible. But these days even that has risks.
I don't have any answers for Marvel. I just hope that they are either working with members of the Filipino community -- or better still, have someone from the community on the creative team. And I pray Marvel doesn't reduce the character to pro forma references to Manila or lumpia, followed by 9,000 panels of bland, generic character content that could have just as easily been used for any character, irrespective of ethnicity or background.
