The biggest change between today and then will be the marketing putting the protagonists on a pedestal just because they are female.

These guys attack pretty much all female-led or POC action or sci-fi projects as being "woke".

Even Black Widow (a character that was introduced over 10 years ago in the MCU) was attacked. Same with Eternals for daring to have a gay character and diverse cast.

Their default state is the straight, white male. Anything apart from that is seen as "other" and wrong.

I question why Evil Lynn is built like Schwarzenegger. Her skill set doesn't involve any kind of physicality. Teela should be muscular but evil lynn? What

Very true. Plus, Evil Lynn seems like the type to only physically exert herself when absolutely necessary. Else, she just relies on magic.

I finally got around to finishing this after getting caught up on Hawkeye over at D+

I enjoyed it a lot. I both love/hate that in order to move a story forward that sometimes means letting go of characters we've loved like the OG Sorceress. However, I like where Teela's story now has her and when Lynn said , "the way to beat you is to step outside", that was great. Was Beast Man left in that gigantic mutated version? Those in PreTernia(yeah, that's how I like to spell it) should have an 'out' to come back. I just don't think you can destroy that realm. SubTernia either for what it is worth. A very action oriented King & Queen during the battle was impressive after really only knowing those characters as passive.

I'm curious about a S3 for sure. Taken as a 10 chapter story I'd grade the whole thing as a solid: B grade

Seems like the folks intent on holding onto that there was a legitimate backlash are still hung up at the "Acceptance..." phase while everyone else has long since moved on.
