It was a terrible story (I don't think JMS is totally absolved of blame. They had a problem with the kids belonging to Peter, I don't think they needed it to be Osborn), but the question is whether or not the decision is still part of canon.

They did stealth reference it.
But I would say most fans and writers ignore it.
Even when gwen is brought up no one talks or think about it

Callisto did have the whole thing where she had Angel in non-consensual bondage and planned to "marry him". She reads as very bi/pan to me.
Yukio and Storm are lovers, the intent is clear.
I think Cypher and Warlock have been married forever, but Cypher is too clueless to be aware. All that body merging, and the AIDS subtext of the techno virus in the 80s, is pretty compelling.
