1. Know the person's name
2. Know the person's face
3. 45 seconds later, that person will die of a heart attack

No repercussions like a Death Note Spirit or Heaven/Hell

Simple Question...would you use it?

I'm unclear as to how this Death Note is an improvement over the original. The original let you control your victims before they died and you could choose exactly how and when you wanted them to die. Also no I would not use it. I would be tempted so I'd have to burn that thing as soon as I got it. There's just no way you can something like that for anything good. The series made that pretty clear.

Zero interest in this. Even the faint idea that it might have SOME useful purpose in the future is completely overshadowed by the idea of someone else getting their hands on it at some point. Destroy it, or failing that, seal it in concrete and drop it over the side of a cruise liner in the middle of the ocean.

Generally I'm someone who doesn't believe in one offs. So I would think, that if I had one of these, there must be others like it out there who have one. This would either make me not want to draw attention to myself by using it at all, or to use it a lot to try and locate people who might have something like this because I wouldn't want this in someone else's hands.

If I discounted that though, there's no real ethical way to use this without a lot of research I would think.

Meh, probably not. There are those who probably deserve it, but just taking them out, only means there will be more to pick up where they left off, and end of the day I'm not really in a great position to figure exactly who would really deserve it. Most actual criminals of that noriorty are already caught, and this becomes an absolute mess to decide who else actually really deserves, and the repercussions of doing such a thing.
