these "Season One year one" style OGNs from roughly 10 years ago (!!) are also a kind of subsequent "reboot"-"reintroduction". Though I don't think the stories in those "worlds" progressed any further than those introductory one-shots..

I keep remembering the Ultimates vs the 616 at Secret Wars #1, when both worlds blew up, and there were plenty of Ultimate heroes fighting 616 heroes. In ANAD Reed Richards restored the whole Multiverse, and that supposes the Ultimate Universe too? So I’m not surprised Lockjaw saw a lot of heroes still around the UU in his comic.
That means the UU didn’t fail, it’s just waiting there for the next episode to start.
