"Humanity will be petulant, bleating performative complaints..." Truer words, Magneto...truer words.

Ah, good points. If we extrapolate the Krakoan Mutant's previous actions on the galactic stage, it's definitely reason for him to get pissed if stability and peace is his goal. I wouldn't be surprised if we see the equivalent of a mutant like Jamie in Avalon placed in several key positions in multiple galaxies. And while it hasn't amounted to anything so far in certain books (though it really should), actions like that and interfering in the Snarkwar definitely would bring war to the Sol system.
Exactly, so I suspect that when SWORD and the Guardians of the Galaxy start interacting there'll be a clash in perspective that Ewing's been talking about in interviews, "spacer vs Earther". Regardless of how much mutants think they are above mankind they still bring a fundamentally Earth-based mindset of expansion and claiming the stars for themselves. They don't see themselves as part of a galactic community (not yet at least). Meanwhile the Guardians are a group of mercenaries and more recently cosmic heroes who care more about stability on an intergalactic scale.
The tension we're likely to witness between Magneto and Nova is an outgrowth of two very people in two very different positions. Magneto understands mutants need to carve out a space presence for their preservation but Nova likely thinks that'll only lead to more tension and conflict as they shake up the galactic order. Time will tell if they can come to an understanding or potentially even join forces.
Now that they have a whole new planet to themselves, what about Arakko? There's no point in having a small island on earth when they have an entire planet.
Why didn't they choose Moon which is nearer?
I take it you meant Krakoa...as the entirety of Arakko was relocated to Mars.
Apart from the whole Intergalactic Diplomatic Presence aspect, having more land to farm as they please, etc...the main reason for Planet Arakko is to safeguard the humans from the Arakki mutants that were starting to become problematic. As it stands, humans and humanity do not need to be safeguarded from the Krakoans, who have formed a new X-Men team to fight for and defend them.
Besides...isn't there a faction here that's vehemently opposed to Mutants distancing and separating themselves from the very humans who seek their subjugation and ultimate extinction...all for the sake of Xavier's "dream"?

I assume they terraformed the planet and this is just a garden in Mars
I don't believe for one second that HiX-Man and Co. set out to present this era as a means to Peace and Unity for all! (as hopeful as that might seem, to some)
Of course...this planet-sized move is going to rub a few people, humans and aliens the wrong way. All who participated and engineered Planet Arakko knows this and on some level expects retaliation and push back from some quarters. Emma Storm, Magneto, Jean, Charles...they are not stupid or blind to the faults of their actions. Even with creating Krakoa at the onset and now this planetary move...they knew exactly what they were doing. And what the reactions might/will be.
It still doesn't mean that there isn't a shared ideology that what they're doing is for a greater good...not just for the survival of Arakki and Krakoans but for the Alien races and for humanity. Because if the Phalanx are coming....
