    Default Choose Three Bat Allies

Choose three Bat allies you'd like to see Batman team up with in his next animated series.

The only limitation is that each ally must be given a logo that corresponds with a different primary color.

    For example:

Luke Fox (Blue), Cassandra Cain (Yellow), and Jason Todd (Red)

    Jason (Red) & Dick (Blue)

    Commissioner Gordon (Yellow)

I'll go with some that Batman doesn't frequently team-up with in wider media: Batwoman - Red (Kate Kane), The Signal - Yellow (Duke Thomas), and Spoiler - Purple (Stephanie Brown).

A primary color requirement would mean some characters are completely excluded though.
Spoiler and Huntress would both be purple.

Those two have had primary color logos, even if the overall outfit was a different color.

Okay, so I'm not counting people like Gordon and Alfred towards this three ally limit.

I'd go with Nightwing (blue), Batgirl (yellow) and Red Hood (red).

Batman the New Adventures had the perfect Batfamily. Nightwing, Batgirl, and a Robin that's so interchangeable you could amalgamate them and it doesn't really matter.

That's the essential Batfamily. Boiled down to its core elements and without the fluff.
It's the Dynamic Duo! Batman and Robin!... and Red Robin and Red Hood and Nightwing and Batwoman and Batgirl and Orphan and Spoiler and Bluebird and Lark and Gotham Girl and Talon and Batwing and Huntress and Azreal and Flamebird and Batcow?

Since when could just anybody do what we trained to do? It makes it all dumb instead of special. Like it doesn't matter anymore.
    -Dick Grayson (Batman Inc.)

    That's what inspired this

But it'd be fun to see people make other choices like Azrael

Here’s my kind of “Batman recovering from Jason’s death and Bab’s being retired” line-up:

    - Azrael - Michael Lane: Bruce had to defend an eyewitness from this guy, but wound up breaking his brainwashing as well. He now tries to help Azrael reprogram and return to normal life, because either Michael Lane gets the help he needs and gets out of the life eventually, or Batman has a new enemy.

    - Black Bat - Cassandra Cain: Babs had contact with her before her injuries, and after Cass demonstrated her skills and alerted Babs to the fact she was an amateur vigilante, Babs started deploying her as the first ever “Agent of Oracle”… then Batman found out, got very angry, but Babs talked him down into helping Cass figure out her place in all this. There’s a strong contrast with Lane - Lane had a normal life, was programmed to be a killer, and wants out on his own terms, while Cass was raised to be a killer, rejected that, but wants in.

    - Huntress - Helena Bertinelli: Already someone who has a history with Batman that was more at odds than as allies, Helena steps up after the city’s mobs start a resurgence after Batman becomes short-handed. Batman very much resists accepting her at all, but is forced to by circumstance. He puts her in contact with Oracle as well, starting their relationship, and her interactions with Cass are frustrating for both of them.

Bonus Round! When Bruce’s back is broken by Bane!

No Bruce! Substitute: Nightwing - Stepping up and reconciling with his mentor, Dick takes point on planning and executing the counterattack on Bane’s international criminal empire. While often abroad dismantling the infrastructure of Bane’s network and that of his allies, Nightwing also sporadically appears in Gotham to shore up the situation there for his lieutenant…

    - Robin III - Tim is in charge of targeting the money of the 5 bosses Bane left in Gotham, as well as investigating the nature of Bane’s mysterious Venom drug. He relies primarily on hit-and-run tactics, has to stay on the move, and form unusual alliances and play different bosses off against each other with the aid of…

    - Spoiler - Stephanie Brown, who’s initially trying to subvert her father’s job as Penguin’s planner, joins up with Tim as his spy and surveillance expert/girlfriend. Her infiltration of various bosses is helped by…

    - Catwoman - Selina wound up “stealing” the Narrows from the resurgent Falcones by hijacking their tribute to Bane and organizing an expulsion of Falcone capos in the Narrows… but was forced to take control of the area and pay the tribute herself or face Bane’s wrath. She’s effectively one of the bosses now, but is smart enough to realize that with the Falcone’s personally hating her and Balck Mask eyeing her territory… and because she doesn’t want to be a boss… she needs to upend this status quo.
Like action, adventure, rogues, and outlaws? Like anti-heroes, femme fatales, mysteries and thrillers?

I wrote a book with them. Outlaw’s Shadow: A Sherwood Noir. Robin Hood’s evil counterpart, Guy of Gisbourne, is the main character. Feel free to give it a look: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asi...E2PKBNJFH76GQP

I'm only talking about the logos for the purposes of this thread.

Yep. Dick, Barbara and second Robin (doesn't matter which). Or even just Dick and Babs.

That's really all you need for Bruce to work as a character. You get the same results for him with 2-3 as you do with 15+
