G1 versions in robot modes.
Prime is a fish of water like story not used to earth. Peter returns to voice him.
Bay films are another canon so it may have nods to bay films but is it's own universe so anything goes.
Mirage, arcee (a bike again), primal, rhinox, bumblebee, scourge, nightbird confirmed.
Scourge collects transformers symbols as trophies.
All the kinds of transformers are now "tribes".
Takes place in new york.
No time travel from the looks of it.
Female and male human leads played by Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback.

I don't know Beast Wars and have no real feelings towards it- it came after my time. But if the G1 Transformers got, what, 6 movies? I can respect that Beast Wars will now be given it's due.

I love Perlman, but this was probably their last chance to get Gary Chalk and Peter Cullen in something together.

At least he'll probably get better direction than in the Prime Wars trilogy.

Disappointing no Chalk but Pearlman is no slouch.

Cullen's something of an exception in voicing his film counterpart from the start. Welker didn't voice Megs until the fourth film and that was "Galvatron".

Since we aren't doing Gary Chalk(they should) I see that the producers feel they need "star power" in the role of Optimus Primal.
Ron Pearlman is a solid get and I can get behind it, just have Chalk got passed over. Hopefully he gets some role.

Van Wheeljack will take me a few minutes to get used to. I hope his robot mode still looks like him.

I love how Nightbird has purple rim tires .
