Batman/Catwoman delayed again. What’s going on?

In a way, I think if you plan to do the whole thing with one artist, and they're committed to it, and they say they want to do it, and you give them a whole year's delay, and they still aren't able to get it finished, I don't see what else you can do.

I mean, delay it forever? This time after it's already started coming out? There's no good option at that point. Maybe you just shouldn't commit to something like that if you can't get it done.

Depending on who was replacing King, I might actually check out those non-King issues.

As it is, the fact that Tom King is writing this series has kept me away from it.

Same here, maybe another writer could actually make the idea work.

Yeah 70-80k for any DC book is great . But for the main Batman book they need it to be 6 digits , have to agree on that one.

But I still think that there's something going on with Bat/Cat , and don't think it's all Clay Mann's fault . He's had more than enough time.
I still think there's some rewriting on King's part.
The book is really beautiful starting with the covers , the paper quality and art work .
Could do without Tom's tunes , lol ...

I wish that he had re-written almost everything that's already released.

I am a BatCat fan, but I don't like how he writes them.
I am glad that his Batman/Catwoman is not canon.
I really don't like the writing.
There is hardly any Batman in there, let alone BatCat
I like her having past friendship with the Joker and the she ends up killing him after Bruce is dead

Well, "cancelled" may not be quite the right word.

According to the article,

DC has indefinitely postponed the one-shot Batman/Catwoman Special #1, telling retailers the book "will be re-solicited at a later date, with more details coming soon."

So it might still happen, but who knows when.

Which is sort of a nice way of saying "we have no idea when it will be available at this point", so who knows what's going on with it.

Yes I do remember that book, I was excited to be getting Miller & Jim Lee working together. I bought all the issues too.
With Bat/Cat , I bought the first 5 issues as I thought that it would be a continuation of King's run on Batman, what he had intended to write had he stayed on Batman for the 100 issues as planned. But after 5 issues , I gave up on the book. Glad that I did. If one day it actually comes out as a TP and I can get it at a good price, I'll pick it up . maybe in a couple of years if ever...

I've been wrong before, Europa did finally come out after years so it could happen...but this seems like an easy out for DC to cut its losses and move on.
