Glad to see Priestroke mentioned already, that is the run that made me give a damn about Slade. Ostrander’s Spectre was also a banger, it was basically a Vertigo book similar to Hellblazer moreso than a superhero book. Love that run, wish we would get an omnibus.

I’m going to cheat and list two because I can:

    Writer: Grant Morrison
    Years: 2011-2013 approximately

This is my favorite Superman run of all time, a run that “gave Superman his balls back” to swipe a quote about Frank Miller and Batman. No more walking across America or moping, this was a Superman who tackled everything from street crime to cosmic invaders to dimensional demons.

    Writer: Joshua Williamson
    Years: 2016-2020

This was the run that finally made me care about Barry as a character. Williamson had a few dips here and there quality wise such as the Forces, but overall this is a solid great run, the best Barry Flash run imo, and well worth checking out for anyone looking for Barry Flash stories.

So good it was saved from cancellation two or three times and managed to get 38 issues.
    Such a great book.

A title that came an went way to fast with almost all new characters. Some of them like Skyrocket and Striker Z are just ripe with potential.

I remember passing on this at the time. The one-shots they released before #1 kinda put me off.
Which is nuts in hindsight, as I LOVE Busiek's writing and Grummett's artwork!

Indeed. Truly an underrated classic (IMHO):
