    Morrison's Doom Patrol run

One of my favorite comics of all time.

    Secret Six by Gail Simone.

I would avoid the New 52 version.

Aquaman had the most consistent streak of phenomenal runs since the New 52 all the way through the 2010s. late 2010 were honestly the best the character's ever been (argue with the wall).

THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki

also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.

    currently following:
    • DC: Red Hood: The Hill
    • Marvel: TBD
    • Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force

    Writer: Christopher Priest
    Years: 2016-2020

this felt like Priest's DC equivalent to his iconic Black Panther run over at Marvel. he definitely demonstrated he's a master of the craft at this point.

    Writer: Peter Tomasi
    Year: 2009

this has my favorite Black Lightning moment of all time and I just overall felt this was a fun run. my favorite take on The Outsiders is always the ones where they are their own team, not simply the secondary team/an extension of Batman.

Ostrander wrote all the issues. There were some assistance with Kim Yale though.

The concept is simple but it's so easy to murk it up as we've been seeing since this run ended.

You might be a fan of the 2010 cartoon and get turned off by the humorous tone. Dated pop culture references, there's a whole arc dedicated to a Buffy parody. Still, fun book.
