    In the New 52? Definitely.

In the pre-Flashpoint universe? A little more debatable, since all the Amazons, other than the Banas, were all peace-loving and perfect (we just won't count Amazons Attack.)
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Here we go again with someone perpetrating that fraud.

I'm going with "On average, yes, but it really depends on who's writing her."

Present evidence to the contrary, or the point stands.

That's not a point that's a fallacy. Perfect peace lovers don't have civil wars or use Purple Death Rays on their enemies.

    I'm still waiting for evidence.

    Civil war? Instigated by Circe.

Purple Death Ray? Didn't exist until the Amazons were on the verge of extinction from an invading army. It was used as a desperation move to save the Amazon race from annihilation, and it was never used again. Hardly the actions of a race of savage warmongers.

Not much evidence. All that proves is that the Amazons know how to fight. This has been established before. It hardly proves that they prefer fighting or enjoy violence.

No the civil war was not instigated by Circe. And who said anything about "savage warmongers" it was your use of "perfect" I took issue with. That's just NOT TRUE, no matter who says it, nor how many times it's said.

Where is this perfection and happy thoughts you speak of? Just stop putting that out there for novices to believe. It's simply not true. The Amazons were enlightened warriors, but they didn't sit around all day sipping green tea and singing Kumbayah.

Where is it? Every issue where the Amazons weren't under attack. If they weren't fighting for their lives, they were sitting around being all peaceable and better than everyone else around.

And the Amazons were under attack a lot. Themyscira has been destroyed and rebuilt countless times. You act as if there was no conflict and they sat around all day knitting and doing crossword puzzles. There were golden apples of discord, bloody battles, god wars, assassination attempts, kidnappings, political intrigue and murders. None of it was perfect.

They weren't under attack for three thousand years. All they had to deal with was the occasional incursion out of Doom's Doorway.

The rest of the time? "Peace, love, and bunnies."

Once the comics got started? They were under attack every once in a while. Then it was back to patting themselves on the back about how much better they were than everyone else.

The only troubles the Amazons encountered came from outside sources. They, themselves, and their society, were perfect.
