They have a novel fleshing out Ronin so I'd certainly love to see more of that.

After enjoying the novel based on Visions I just found the new comic one shot... and it was amazing!

"The Duel" was hands down my favorite short from last year's Star Wars anthology cartoon, Visions, but I never knew until I picked up the book that it was written and designed by Takashi Okazaki who for those of you who didn't know was the writer/artist behind Afro-Samurai which is one of my favorite manga of all time. And while looking back on the short it's easy to see Okazaki's influence it's incredibly obvious in this issue as the art, especially in the flowy hair of the Jedi, just oozes with his sketchy, energetic look. Like the short this prequel comic is based on what really makes it sing is the fact that it so heavily homages the films of Akira Kurosawa, which was a huge influence on George Lucas in creating Star Wars so it's a great way to come full circle. I think the only negative is that this is sadly just a one shot! I'd love for Okazaki to tell a full series about his Ronin, or barring that I wish Marvel would turn this into an anthology book much like the cartoon series was and allow other creators who you wouldn't imagine being associated with the galaxy far, far away to tell stories with out fear of continuity.

I'm disappointed there's no anime studios for round 2

    Yeah, that's a bit of a bummer.

True, there is no anime here but it's still full of smallish(aardman has had major studio releases) independent animation studios that are very experimental so even if the look will be different the spirit/mission of the show remains the same.

First season didn't really do it for me, but this one looks great. Much more variety.

Same here, while I loved the concept introduced in the first season there were only two shorts I really loved( The Duel and the Elder) and a couple that were decent( Lop and Ocho and the Ninth Jedi) but from this trailer not only are there more styles present but more of the features seemed awesome so my hopes are high.
