He was on Star Trek and Julia. He has done A LOT that for most part if you are NOT a child of the 70s-90s that watched direct to video or late night movies-most folks would not know who he is.
Although he has worked with a lot of Hollywood's A-B listers and legends.
Fred Williamson was also in from Dusk to Dawn.

I think that was sort of a comeback for him.

In a way it's true...look at his career vs Scarlett's. Comparability, it's a bad time to be Steve Dorff.

All this reminds me of how people complain about there being too many superhero films. TBH, at this point we may as well consider pretty much any action movie nowadays superhero films even if it doesn't have any superheroes in it since most of the main characters tend to behave and do the same stuff that superheroes do. If a "superhero movie" is about a guy who have super powers, you can make an argument that Fast and Furious movies are superhero movies too with the feats pulled off in those movies. I haven't seen the latest one yet, but I read that one was even more over the top than the last few films. Hell, even John Wick is like a superhero at times. Even Mission Impossible could be considered an unofficial superhero movie, given how superhuman Ethan Hunt seems to be.

The only movie Shaq was good in was Blue Chips, and that was because he was supporting character not the star. I think that is the general rule with all athletes, rappers, and singers. In small parts they can actually seem pretty good, but by and large none of them are good enough to carry a whole movie.

Maybe she agrees with Dorff and now is making sure she will never play Black Widow ever again.

Honestly now with everything going on with the law suit. you are almost forced to see Scar Jo playing Black Widow in a different light. looking at clips from Endgame and rethinking about Black Widow, she seems to have checked out from the character a long time ago. I do think Scar Jo yearns to get more into serious Oscar bait movies. the black widow thing was all a cooperate job to her , not really surprised now she had sued Disney's asses because she thinks she is not getting her job's worth.

I think this is an amazingly delusional take on the situation.

Because clearly she knew about a global pandemic, movie theater shutdowns and Disney doing same-day streaming back when they were filming Endgame.

The sad part is that the idea Scarlett didn't like the role was already brought up in this thread.

The only reason the Black Widow movie got made at all was Johansson's passion for the character. She had no obligation to do this, her character was killed off. Does anyone believe Feige was eager to start phase 4 with a movie about a dead character? It was mainly a gesture out of gratefulness for her dedication to the role for ten years.

Also she does not have to be a comic book reader to like the character.
Instead we get more baseless speculation that ignores the timeline of when the movies were made and released and ignores the actual direct statements from SJ herself. Hence, it is an amazingly delusional take.

I think there is a lot of truth in your statement. RDJ and the three Chris needed their roles, ScarJo didn’t need this role. I think she took Dorff’s comment serious and she probably heard the same thing from other actors and people in the business.
In her old age, do she really want to be known only as Black Widow?
Even though superheroes movies make a lot of money, it seem they are still a joke with many Hollywood personalities.

She would be known for a lot more than Black Widow. And seeing who played roles in this kind of movies a have serious doubts about the last sentence.
And that is not a recent thing. I mean Frank Langella talked about his role of Skeletor and how much fun he had with it any chance he got even 20 years later.

As you always say that you are a film expert you should know that she did "oscar bait" movies along the Black Widow role. The last one was JoJo Rabbit. And not to forget she wanted to do this movie and pushed to get the director she wanted. If that means she "checked out" to you...
