Because apparently the Emperor beat down the blood Void Dragon(Mag'ladroth) that ate stars whole, comatosed it, and sealed it under Mars.

If Sacred Ancestor is anywhere near novel D, then he's going to chew up the Emp pretty badly.
But alas, I don't know D novel canon that well.
