The coffee must be a psychological dependence.
As for her professional persona... Emma did it better. Take notes from the real White Queen, M.

I think part of the story seems to be setting Monet up for a bit of a fall. She was reckless in issue #1 and doesn't want to hear anything from anyone. I find it very interesting.

yeah the art is just ..... not good. that combined with a not so interesting story.

I doubt this lasts longer than X-Factor did.

Same I want to support this book, but this version of M ain't it. I do think the art is much better than the original artist but that's not saying much, I wish Monet could consistently keep her black features. I feel like she's is going to be a victim of being whitewashed when she is adapted across media. Because Marvel seem staunch on giving her features of everyone but a black woman.

Even the Grr Angry M from Bunncanny wasn't this reckless, and she's been rudely dismissive of people before but her attitude to the Little People has been inexcusable. She clearly has rage issues which she has to restrain or she goes Penance.

There's a definite fall coming. Maybe she oversteps and Warren beats her in the boardroom then Archangel beats her Penance form on the battlefield.

And on a serious note... We know M is rich but have we seen her actually do corporate level stuff before?

    One question?

I just re-read most of X-factor and Jamie's dupes almost always have different and difficult personalities.
Why are they now just mindless drones.

And have they mentioned his kid with Lyla(I know she is going to show up but still)

They aren't all mindless drones. One of the dupes acted like they were in charge and mouthed off to Monet in the first issue. edit: Just looked at the first issue, and Jamie mentioned some of his dupes still have a tendency to go rogue when unsupervised.

Their son has not been mentioned.

I mean we have 100's of dupes and that was a mild case compared to Peter David's stuff.

    Thanks

Yeah, they're not really reaching the gloriously unpredictable extremes they did under PAD.

I'm still not entirely convinced this Jamie is original Jamie. His reaction to Trinary bringing Layla up was odd.

I just find her extremely aggressive. Like i don't think any real person with choices would want to work for this Monet. I know i would have told her off and bounced and i worked in corporate america at one point.
