As good as the Marvel shows were (Iron Fist being the exception because that one was trash), they fail prey to the "Netflix formula".

The Netflix formula basically has the pacing of the series drop off and plotting become drawn out in the middle because the series has to hit a certain number of episodes. It's like the story telling ceases to be organic after a whole.

Netflix has scaled back a bit on this in recent times but it's still there in their series.
Oh, no doubt! What happens is a series is pitched and Netfix says we'll buy it, but you have to give X number of episodes. That's why there's so much padding in their series.

Nope. Anything new will just be the nature of the character himself, but it won't stray from what we've seen before from the MCU. There'll be surprises, it'll probably be good, but it'll stay within the lines. The MCU is reliable and consistent in those regards. You can enjoy it, I do, but if you want different you have to look elsewhere.

I will admit though they was a Deadpool MAX series, but I don't think it was a big as hit as his other popular series.
Even if you go back at look at Rob's Deadpool stuff, he was a wisecracking joker that never shut up and annoyed people. The very first time Deadpool was defeated by Cable, Cable packed him up in a crate and mailed him back home. That's pretty much exactly the same kind of stuff you see from the character today.

Still, Rob wasn't exactly the best comedy writer but the start was still there. It's just later writers kept making him wackier and wackier.
Steve Ditko's Spider-man is hardly the same guy we see nowadays but nobody wants to take the credit from him.

So was Jack, despite not actually contributing anything.
