Is this connected with your desire that Wonder Woman should be a weakling? Goku died to a heart virus after he overpowered a Frieza several times more powerful than as he destroyed a planet with ease, Wonder Woman having immunity to poison fits to her, but is just loosely related to the question of how powerful she was at a given time.

She helped Hercules hold up Themyscira after Dooms Doorway was destroyed, so a car is definitely not the heaviest thing she lifted.

Though things aren't consistent though, it's weird that she is vulnerable to multiple poison darts but the same dart used against Cheetah just pissed Minerva off but otherwise has no effect on her

Still. Nobody ever though that hawkgirl was anywhere close to WW's stats. And the show never did much with WW as a character. They never portrayed her as very powerful either. Compared to other characters like Superman, Supergirl, shazam etc. WW was nothing special power wise.

No, not “still” and not “nobody.” The other poster said it was ambiguous at first. You’re just regurgitating what you want to say and not what was actually being discussed.

And the remainder of your comment has nothing to do with me because I never said she was portrayed as very powerful, just that she had a few nice moments.

As someone who watched the JL/U, we were the primary audience. There were plenty of goofy episodes and serious episodes. JL/U is like ATLAB, it was given the chance to flex their beyond normal cartoon standards. That's why JL/U is fondly remembered, because it wrote a show that a general audience can enjoy despite the primary audience.

If WB wanted a more mature oriented cartoon show, it'd be on Toonami or Adult Swim, but it wasn't.

Oh man, edited my comment. I used Jetix. XD

I went back to read that story and she never actually holds up the island though. She offers help to Hercules and says she was blessed with great strength, but he's the one carrying the weight and says it's his burden to bear.

She is holding the island with Heracles. And Then she holds him who must be heavier than a car.

It was also mentioned that she had been drugged a lot by the Bana that day so the dart was having more of an effect on her than normal.

If she was going in with her bloodstream toxin free, she probably would have just gotten pissed off like Cheetah.

I think she was going in toxin free. The drugged tea Chuma gave her earlier she faked drinking. The first poison dart Anahid surprises her with downs her pretty quickly. When Anahid uses it on Cheetah, Cheetah just shrugged it off.

But then later in the arc Diana tries to run past a bunch of Bana Amazons to get to the Cheetah massacre and forgets she can just fly over them, so maybe Perez was kind of checked out on this arc consistency wise

No, she was kidnapped by the Bana after she faked drinking Chuma's spiked tea, and they used a dart to knock her out.

But now that I have re-read the issue, I guess the "Kiss of the Cobra" (as the toxin is called) is strong enough to knock Diana out and even weaken her, while it just made Cheetah more pissed off (somehow) than she normally is.

And then the dart that Chuma shot at her, we don't know if it was the same toxin soooo... And yeah, she could have flown over the Bana since she was 2 seconds ago if she had to get through that fast....

I cared more about the Diana v Cheetah fight anyway, and it was beautiful.

No that's what I meant, the first Chuma thing with the tea doesn't count because she was faking it, but the Kiss of the Cobra dropped her like a sack of bricks lol. I think by the time Chuma tried his own dart later we can handwave it away that she'd already been through the idea with the Bana's poison so she was weaker (and also being pummeled by Cheetah).

But yeah I'm willing to forgive a lot for that final Cheetah vs. Wonder Woman fight. It has yet to be topped and it's a shame we never get that same savage energy on screen.

I just need to point out, that in this very story, Diana held back demonic energies that shook the entire planet and caused earth quakes everywhere. So both of you are kind of low balling here.
