I don't think Aaron's run is near done. I imagine (a) Pete will be back before Aaron's endgame and (b) Pete and Mephisto will not have their final entanglement done by a non-ASM writer (Aaron could get the book at 900, for example, and write that and Avengers towards the big conclusion)

Aunt May has had a good life, working in FEAST, getting married to Jameson, spending time with Peter, meeting Teresa and hopefully soon will find out her identity, she might feel bad that Peter sacrificed his happiness for her life, but I doubt Peter would truly regret it, you can never have enough time with those you love, and stop making good memories, so I think Peter would see it worthy and Aunt May might be gratefull too
