I remember this cover mostly because it was one of the first times Greg Land's lightboxing came up in online discussion.

Now that voting is just about over, I want to add I thought I remembered that discussion. IIRC it's a swipe from perhaps a Sports Illustrated cover featuring Kathy Ireland. There was always a lot of talk about his "porn faces" showing up numerous times.

I can see an artist using photo referencing to make a cover so it can be a slippery slope sometimes. But with so much work that can be done digitally it can be tempting to take the easy way out with deadlines approaching.

When I was looking up the details on the US Camel Corps, it was noted that Arabian camels were one of the only animals that can eat creosote bushes, and it is thought that this is evidence of a biological relationship that was broken when the American camels became extinct in the Quaternary Extinction Event, making it an evolutionary anachronism.

Yep. American camels developed an ability to eat creosote bushes that they passed on to their Old World descendants; so when these were introduced into their ancestral continent they had no problem with the plant.
