Wooo! And drawn by Stenbeck, no less!

Do you think this is sort of a backdoor pilot for a regular SLC series?

Happy to see they have a good artist for this.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Sounds like Stenbeck doing the wraparounds, Mitten doing the tales being told

I really enjoyed the anthology series like framing narrative of the Professor, Hellboy and Simon sitting in the pub swapping stories; not only did it give those three some light character moments but it really helped ground the Silver Lantern story in the wider Hellboy Universe which was a great move. The story itself was fun having a nice mix of action, horror and even a little comedy at the end making it feel like a classic Hellboy short...only with out Hellboy. I think the only way this book could be better was if they fully embraced the anthology series structure and allowed exciting new creative teams to tell these stories from the past.

You summed it up perfectly Guardian.
