Heh, Phil Jimenez actually brought up in an interview recently he always found "interesting" that when it comes to WW and Greek Myth people insist it should be "accurate" to the original myths (ignoring how those myths contradict themselves) but on the other hand you don't see many upset over how Marvel's Thor barely resembles what we know about Norse mythology or when people deviate from Egyptian, Aztec, Maya, Hindu myths whenever those pop up.

I feel like this in particular almost gives DC free license to go nuts.

And while I handle race changes for characters on a case by case basis, characters like Antiope and Aella aren't consistently around in continuity and the latter is especially so minor that a race change doesn't bother me. And I can't imagine why it would bother anyone. Especially when their new looks in Historia are so badass!

Want to see what she can do, what exactly her powers and abilities are and how they differ from Diana's. They're nailing the visuals, now give us the meat and potatoes. Although they kind of already have with the Well of Souls bombshell. That changes everything, but maybe it's more Young Diana than Nubia, ymmv. I say Nubia because her book picked up the thread and her whole origin is derived from it, so far.

Yesterday I was thinking the same thing when I surfed this thread. It just made me think of how horrible it must be to have all your organs slowly (and painfully?) petrify. Yeah, that is definitely a power that only villains should have.
