It was a great issue, really enjoyed it. Art was A+, writing was A+, good addition to the WW lore.
I think my only callout would be...while I dont mind the Staff of Understanding, it seems better than the Lasso of Truth? It can essentially turn into a glorified lasso, staff, can get to the "truth" (maybe I misunderstood) like the lasso. Paired with Nubia having been blessed by the Goddesses and less susceptible to magic....kind of makes Diana seem like 2nd tier when you look at the 2?
Honestly im not even quite sure what abilities the magic lasso has anymore. While the last decade or so has limited what the lasso can do to simple truth telling and the soul melding thing, past takes gave it everything from healing powers to creating anti-spell wards
I think it’s time for Nubia to move on from being Queen. I would like to see her interact with the larger universe. She shouldn’t be sidelined. Hippolyta can be Queen again as she should’ve always been. She’s been useless all of 2021.
It looks like Nubia is going to be queen for the long haul:
https://www.gamesradar.com/nubia-is-...ay-dc-special/While the seven-part Wonder Woman crossover event 'Trial of the Amazons' doesn't begin until March, Newsarama can reveal something that won't be changing during the storyline - Nubia will retain her crown as queen of the Amazons. And in May, DC is making it officially official.
In fact, she'll be coronated in the appropriately titled 48-page one-shot Nubia: Coronation Special #1.
Nubia was given the crown by Hippolyta when Wonder Woman's mother left Themyscira for the "man's world" to serve on the Justice League, while Diana was making her way back to the Earthly plane following the events of Dark Nights: Death Metal. But it looks like Nubia will be keeping the crown for a reason that will almost certainly be revealed during 'Trial of the Amazons' despite Wonder Woman's return.

Author of the Instant New York Times bestselling novel, The Prophets, from G.P. Putnman's Sons.
Such a weird decision to end an otherwise great mini by having the last issue be the second part of a crossover.
This issue could have been its own special or even Trial #2.
