Manga is going to be diverse in the context of Japanese culture, just as anglosphere comics tend to cover the United States and Great Britain. Complaining about race in manga is a bit like complaining about the lack of French New Wave films about Mexico.

Manga does have significant diversity in terms of styles, even if all the different artists might not be to your liking. A comparison could be that there is diversity of styles within opera, but I'm not going to be familiar with it, because it is not my cup of tea.
