Riv86672... because Batman getting hanged using unconscious Elongated Man's neck by a hooded villain wearing a noose as a necktie is batsh*t insane!

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:
Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
Conn Seanery! No matter what, JRJR will always be a favorite!
I vote nx01a!
The contest has hung by its neck until deadline, and the results are in:
1 vote: kjn, Nschornhorst, Ravin' Ray
2 votes: Ajax_X, Conn Seanery, seismic-2
3 votes: Riv86672, Stony
4 votes in a 3-knot tie: MRP, nx01a, and Shalla Bal!
So we are in zombie contest mode! Will someone please cut down the winner?

Damn, I forgot to vote yesterday.
Guess it works out though. Going w. Shalla Bal. I’m a huge Challengers fan, AND that’s some good Kubert.
And thanks to Ravin' Ray, nx01a, LordMikel for the votes this week!

Congrats to Shalla Bal.
And once again it appears my love of EC covers (this one by Wally wood) has done me no favours.
Congratulations to Shalla Bal, and thanks to Kai "the Sky" for the vote!

Congrats to Shalla Bal!

Congratulations, Shalla Bal! I guess I’m at least as sensitive as Tami: I didn’t want to look at these covers anymore to vote…
But, luckily, Riv86672 was there.
“Strength is the lot of but a few privileged men; but austere perseverance, harsh and continuous, may be employed by the smallest of us and rarely fails of its purpose, for its silent power grows irresistibly greater with time.” Goethe
Congratulations, Shalla Bal! Thank you to Tami for the kind vote and Lord Mikel for the nod.
Yay, Shalla Bal!
And thanks for the votes!

As for what the captain has learned this week is that Peter webbing Gwen has more controversy than just a superhero's GF being killed. Who knew we comic fans could be so picky and detail oriented?
I’ll don the mask and wear the cape
If I am super, how can I wait?
