Heard rumors that Silver Surfer: The Ultimate Cosmic Experience (1978) from Stan&Jack was meant for the big screen,
but instead the whole thing became a bookshelf graphic novel.
Still would be interested in a big-budget cinematic version, though...

There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
The Wolf by Lorenzo Carcaterra. Read this book several years ago and loved it. The plotline is this: When the wife and daughter of the head of a powerful criminal organization are killed by terrorists, he declares war on international terrorism with the full weight of organized crime. Call it bad guys versus badder guys. I think that would make a terrific movie.

When it comes to comics series, I'm almost always thinking TV series rather than movie. Unless it's a graphic novel or a short limited series.
That reminds me... Mark Waid & Barry Kitson's EMPIRE would make a killer Netflix series.
They should make a movie of Bass Reeves life.
A big budget one.
Popeye!
Featuring the likes of Jason Statham as Popeye, Gal Gadot as Olive Oyl, Dave Bautista as Brutus, and John Goodman as Wellington Wimpy.
Speaking of adapting series from comics to the big screen, I'd be interested in a big-budget movie of...
Nightwing
(especially, the Chuck Dixon/Scott McDaniel version )
