Honestly, the marketing has been pretty non-existent for all non-Bat titles. I have seen any promotion for Action Comics, Wonder Woman, Flash(particularly sad), Aquaman or Green Lantern. DC has built no hype. The only title getting much attention is Taylors Superman.

Unless you read these books monthly you would have no idea what`s going on. I feel like more interviews and a bigger push would really help. Its sad because I feel like the overall line has better books but the marketing is nowhere near what it used to be.

It always bugs me how nobody but the Bat (and occasionally Super) books give out interviews anymore. Why not? It’s free advertising isn’t it? Let’s hear Adams talk about his plans for Flash!

I'm confused. You use an external website to check the sales figures for your own book? Don't dc give you them?

I'm doing interviews all over the place. Youtube, various websites. at least a couple a month. Marco does some. Tom's not a public speaker.

I just finished one for the next issue of GL.

    and here's some promo art.

don't be confused. i mostly don't care about things like that. when I am interested i have various sources to check of which the company is one. when i compare, the numbers line up with ICV2 most closely. NO external site has all the numbers.

I think problem is the reach. Many people don't know these places.

Isn't Comichron usually considered one of the most reputable sources for comic sales. Well, FWIW they have GL at #94 this month as compared to #109 or wherever it was last month, so that's good to see.

I looked at comichron and it looks like they confirm what you are saying. They have #4 selling 2k more than #3. Sure, exact numbers might be different, but trend is the same.

Either way good to see that sales are, at least for now, stabilizing. I was one of the early sceptics of you, but your work definitely changed my mind.

You can see a lot of the books in the Comichron sales list, be it DC or Marvel, got a slight bump in July. Wonder why that is, considering DC touted June as being so successful.

Because since the industry changed after the initial Diamond shutdown in 2020, and the ceasing of detailed sales numbers, Comichron has been using a model that entirely relies on taking a much smaller and incomplete set of numbers and expanding it to what they think the entire industry was worth that month and I expect trying to make corrections based on actual rankings from distributors.

thank you. we're working hard on it. this kind of swing is always a risk.

As of now, our numbers are in the same realm as those of Morrison's second season of THE GREEN LANTERN. Not exact but in the same orbit. That seems like good company to me.

We'll see how it goes. LOTS more story to tell and lots of crazy coming.
