Zora's characterization is really weird. It feels like her mood changes from page to page.
Is his former love Nova alive/still powered?
She might now be the only one for Johnny

I came for Kate, I stayed for Bette Love Fantastic Four, Namor, Batwoman, Dr.Strange.... i love them all
I loved that character back in the day, but like many characters, they just end up unused and pulled out in such a fashion.
They deserve better than that.

Here's the question: did she have to get her mask fused to her face like Dreadknight?

Unknown, I would assume not since they didn't show it. She just has to wear the mask in public so that Victor doesn't see her face.
Frankie Raye... she really needs a new codename. Nova makes her sound like a member of the Nova Corps, but she was actually created at a time after Richard Rider's original book was cancelled and before he came back when New Warriors started, so she was using a vacant name that now no longer is.

I like the idea of Frankie coming back too. The last thing I read where she appeared was that Heralds mini series with the terrible art.
As for Zora, I don't think she's been harmed. I think even though she really was a huge disappointment to Doom he can't bring himself to harm her. He had a paternal regard for her and it's like he is a father laying down the law to a wayward daughter. But she's unwittingly put an end to to his high regard for her now.
Solar - I know sounds masculine, but I have no problem with that.
StarBurst, but... candy
Fiero/Fiera
Flamer, Flamella
Okay I even looked for synonyms:
Supernova (that was a character in Nova comics, right?)
Orb ???
so, this isn't working out, maybe I have another idea:
In the first story, Frankie ended up being another "Human Torch".
What if the cure for Johnny involves Frankie? Maybe they end up synching or somehow drawing/draining off of each other's powers.
A part of Johnny's abilities are to absorb other heat sources. Frankie's origin is different, but didn't the original Torch also do this on occasion.
The only thing more interesting (to me, at least) than this would be
Bringing in all the other torch-beings. So Toro, Frankie and I don't know the current status quo of Jim Hammond, the original Torch,
but maybe saving Johnny could involve something with the other Torches,
and I say that would be a heck of a better story than the weird would be triangle with Zora and Sky, or is it also Lyja (think she will be back, frankly)
