This feels like a proper Event. It has tie-ins to:

GOTG
SWORD
Cable
TLA Wiccan and Hulking
TLA Wakanda

And because it has a vibe with the original Annihilation Event back in 2006, we now have Rich Rider Nova included. It looks like the whole Galaxy is affected, and they are bringing in the big guns from all over, but so far Earth is exempt, but that’s not going to last long. I’ve been waiting for decades, since the first mention Dormammu wanted to invade the 616, in Strange Tales, for the old Demon to make his move, and this is it. It’s only 7 issues, but it looks like KIB all over again.

Part 1 Dormammu unleashes the Last Annihilation - all the versions of the Mindless Ones from his dimension. Both GOTG ships are destroyed. Teddy has to defend Hala, and Billy is sent to Skrulls to gather the Knights of Infinity. The call arrives on Mars with Peter Quill and Rich Rider, and Nova goes to rescue Gamora and Rocket , while Quill has to get Doom, Marvel Boy and Abigail Brand and SWORD.

Checked out the first part of this with The Guardians of the Galaxy. Gotta say that the new artist on the title, Juan Frigeri, is really just bringing it. Just a realistic, yet dynamic style. Reminds me of Ivan Reiss. He makes Nova coming in for the save look just so badass! Hoping we get to see more blasting and shooting for other issues.
