While it was terrible as a worthwhile adaptation?

Preacher did manage to stumble across a few legitimately solid instances of this.

Cassidy singing "Danny Boy" while coming down the stairs with a paper cutter blade where a hand should have been?

That did put a bit of a smile on my face.

Cassidy putting on like he was actually dying in Tulip's lap with a piece of glass sticking out of his neck was also a keeper.

For film, my choice would be...

    An American Werewolf in London
    (1981)

Loved Preacher as well. So sad it ended so soon.

Been watching Kevin Can F--k Himself. Such a weird show and got me very intrigued.

Also been trying to get myself to watch Lucifer for some time.

She's a nice girl Mama but I don't think she's too right in the head . Killer from seventies horror deranged talking to his mother's stuffed corpse.

    Honestly, you shouldn't be.

AMC made the right move saying "Wrap it up, B...."

They had no plan. I can't see any scenario that aspect of it would have improved if they had been given more time.

    Past that...

It's probably worth just saying that I hate Preacher. It is easily one of the great dumpster fires as far as "Adaptation..." goes.

I can just give it a little bit of credit in the couple of rare instances during the show where it worked.

Hopefully this counts, but another choice in film would be...

    Phantom of the Paradise
    (1974)

Honestly a lot of the Evil Dead franchise, films and series. All the times Ash gets covered in gore, a lot of funny kills, but if I have to name one my favorite is still the line from Army of Darkness "Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun."
