Default Enough Russian Mutants for Russian X-Men team?

I alsways wondered why the Winter Guard was more related to the Avengers as to the X-Men.

That made me fantasize about a Russian equivalent of the X-Men.

Which Russian mutants do we have besides the Rasputin siblings, Ursa Major, Darkstar and Vanguard (current Red Guardian)?

Was Sivercat not a mutant as well?

And with which of them would you create an all mutants Winter Guard?

PS: A new Winter Guards mini is coming soon.

Ursa Major died in the last issue of the Avengers, it will be interesting if he is resurrected by the Five.
I am a Marvel fan preferably cosmic storylines, especially Thanos or Dark Phoenix related, when both the Avengers and the X-Men are involved count me in, loved the original Uncanny Avengers series.
Not a fan of any of the new characters.

Is Marvel so cruel that they would kill their only teddy bear?

There were a bunch of Russian mutants introduced in X-Factor (and much later killed off in a crappy follow-up story to fluff up some nameless schmuck with guns, but since they can be resurrected, it's irrelevant).

Names I can find online are Iron Curtain, Siberian Tiger/Sibercat, Blind Faith, Stencil, Mentac and Concussion.

Added to Vanguard, Ursa Major, Darkstar, Colossus, Magik and Mikhail Rasputin, there's more than enough for a Russian X-Men!

So for an all mutant Winter Guard I'd have them become X-Guard and consist of :

    Darkstar
    Vanguard (no longer Red Guardian)
    Medved (Ursa Major)
Vostok (mutants can have an android) programmed to detect Sentinels
    Sibercat
    Stencil

    Reserves on rotation: Snow Leopards

    For a Winter Guard series becoming X-Guard I would surely include the most popular Russian mutants, otherwise it would not sell. So, looking at all those who we found so far, I would create this team;

    Colossus
    Magik
    Darkstar
    Red Guardian (Vanguard)
    Ursa Major
    Stencil (cool powers)
    Sibercat & the Snow Leopards

Didn’t die, he’s seen in the upcoming Winter Guard mini.

I was thinking the same thing, maybe Ursa Major was resurrected because he looked pretty dead in Avengers #46, Avengers #47 is out this week so we may learn more about his fate in that ?.

I honestly think he’ll be saved by the Avengers. He’s gone toe-to-toe with the Hulk. Widow’s blade should only make a flesh wound.

Oh wow, kudos for remembering not only the Gremlin (who was killed by Iron Man, in the Armor Wars, IIRC), and Bora (from that one issue of Moon Knight?).

I had to go look up who Mikula Golubev was, so you are indeed the master of the obscure!

Some of these returned in Cullen Bann’s Uncanny.
